Coffee With Mi

Mi, I toast you with a tumbler of freshly brewed kaapi!

Birthday Memories

“So, you think you know it all”, you said.

“Of course. It is a crazy idea,Mi” I replied, “We may be superwomen, but this is mind-boggling, even for us.”

It was Vidur’s first birthday. 100+ guests were expected. You insisted all the snacks should be homemade. Our menu was ambitious to say the least.

I reluctantly agreed. “But what about containers to store the eats?”

You gleefully said, “R Aunty is loaning them.”

And so we started preparations. What a grand birthday it was.

Oh yes, You did know it all.

Wish you were here for his 16th this Saturday.

Beautiful memories. Dr. Paresh (Vidur’s pediatrician), You, Vidur and I.

    1. He was/is a total joy, Rekha! We would compete with each other – my Mom, husband and I to hold him 😀 Our neighbors complained that they never heard him cry. Thank you for being here today!

  1. 100+ guests? That is a little overwhelming. What an amazing person to be able to organize such an extravaganza and pull it off. That is an Olympian effort! I loved your take on the prompt and the glimpse of your precious memories you gave us! ♥

  2. Oh my goodness – a hundred guests? But I’m sure Mom and you and your wonderful lists made it happen! 🙂
