Family Matters. Sure does. And it is so precious. Especially since we started off as a two-member family, Mi. Strangely, it doesn’t matter to me that the father abandoned you two months before I was born. I got more than most other kids in the form of a Grandmother, Uncles and Aunts. Not to forget the cousins. What was to complain about? Oh, so it was uncomfortable when people inquired about my Father. Okay, I admit it downright hurt sometimes. Typical movie-style feelings. Where is your dad, Vidya? Blink blink. The out of town answer didn’t eternally work and back in the 60’s families actually believed that everything would be alright eventually when the parent returned, repentant. Big ha ha to that.
I can tell you with confidence today that you were more than a Mom and Dad to me, Mi. Loving, encouraging, gentle yet firm. Perfect.

It is true that God gives generously. Our happy family of four. Okay, so you have eyes only for your grandson.

Here’s God’s family.
All creatures great and small. A family of ducks.
You live in our hearts, Mi.
