Coffee With Mi

Mi, I toast you with a tumbler of freshly brewed kaapi!

One life to live

Okay, not a very original realization – but nevertheless, a valid one because we all have to apply the brakes once in a while and – pause – and think.  Haven’t done much of that for myself, but a couple of days ago, I asked Vidur to make a list of the wildest and weirdest things he would like to do and gave him one hour. True to himself, his list read like an angel’s version of a wild time. Those who know him, know what am talking about.
So, chiding him, I told him to take a little longer and in fact, think about it from time to time. The idea was to give him focus, help him widen his horizons (in two years everyone will be bullying him about what he’s planning for his future) and what not.
That said, we carried on with whatever we were occupied with – me working towards a couple of deadlines and he – well, what he does best 😀
In the meantime, Fauzia my dearest classmate – yes, we sat next to each other on the same bench in school – sent me a very cute forward. I had to share it here because I can’t help laughing every time I see it. Here we go – because I am thinking, “Oh, how Mom would have loved it!”
Yes, and she also forwarded this one:

‘Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – Chardonnay in one hand – chocolate in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOW what a ride!’

Send this to four women and you will lose 2 pounds
(Ooh, I wish!)
Send this to all the women you know (or ever knew) and you will lose 10 lbs
(Wow! Sounds tempting, eh?)
IF you delete this message you will gain 10 lbs.
(Never, never, never – I’ ll keep it for as long as I live)
Now, if only life were so easy! But at least we can go ahead and live out the skid-sideways to the ride part.

Sharing is caring!
