Yesterday went off very well – the modhaks were perfect and everything else was also great. Reminded me of how my mom always thought festival cooking was a breeze, so long as one planned the sequence ahead. That’s precisely what I did as I woke up and made the coffee. I, however missed sharing that lovely tumbler of coffee with my mom, as we used to do – and discussing what to do.
Needless to say, I missed her very much throughout the day. She would have praised what I made, especially because we cannot taste anything until after we offer it to God. So, considering all that, am feeling pretty proud of myself and thankful to my mom for letting me be her sous chef as I grew up 🙂
And we had the cultural program in our building yesterday evening, as well. Vidur didn’t go as he had enough school program practice, music class practice and exams on top of it all starting Monday. We did go for a walk in the evening and it was nice to see some of the roads almost empty, thanks to the closed shops. Also got my new mobile. It will need some getting used to – although I already love its camera and touchscreen. I inaugurated it with a missed call 🙂
